Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about ecommerce product image generation, 4K quality, usage rights, review, revisions, stores, and marketplaces.
Ecommerce Product Images
Is ProdVue only for Amazon sellers?
No. ProdVue creates product images for online shops in general. You can use the same workflow for Shopify stores, Etsy listings, Amazon listings, WooCommerce stores, ads, email campaigns, landing pages, and social product posts.
Amazon has stricter image rules, so ProdVue includes Amazon-specific guidance where needed. The product image sets themselves are broader than Amazon.
What problem does ProdVue solve?
Most ecommerce teams lose time creating product visuals one image at a time. ProdVue helps turn a single product photo, product facts, and brand direction into a full image set: clean main image, lifestyle image, product infographic, detail shot, comparison image, size reference, and other sales-ready visuals.
The goal is simple: make product pages look more trustworthy, answer buyer questions faster, and reduce the manual work needed to create consistent visuals across a catalog.
What types of images can I create?
ProdVue supports clean white-background product photos, lifestyle product images, in-use images, feature infographics, material or ingredient breakdowns, comparison charts, detail close-ups, how-to images, multi-angle views, bundle images, packaging shots, before-and-after visuals, and size comparisons.
Read the full Image Types guide for when to use each one.
Plans and Billing
What plans are available?
ProdVue offers three monthly plans: Starter (€39/month, 2 products), Growth (€99/month, 5 products), and Pro (€249/month, 15 products). All plans include 4K image quality, commercial usage rights, every image type, and included revisions within the plan limit.
See Plans and Pricing for the full product-slot model.
Can I try ProdVue before subscribing?
ProdVue requires an active plan to create image sets. Start with one product, review the results, and scale when the workflow fits your catalog and quality bar.
What happens if I am not happy with a generated image?
All plans include revisions. Starter includes 1 revision per image. Growth and Pro include 3 revisions per image.
Use revisions for practical issues such as wrong framing, unclear text, weak product scale, missing buyer context, or a visual style that does not fit your brand.
Can I change my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time from your account dashboard.
Can I get a refund?
Refer to our refund policy for details.
Do unused products roll over?
On the Growth plan, unused product slots carry over for 1 month. On the Pro plan, they carry over for up to 3 months. Starter plan slots do not roll over.
Image Quality
What resolution are the generated images?
ProdVue generates high-resolution product visuals for ecommerce use. Plan outputs are designed around 4K quality, giving you room to crop for product pages, collection thumbnails, marketplace galleries, ads, and social formats.
How long does image generation take?
Most individual images are ready within 1-2 minutes. Complete product image sets, complex product infographics, and comparison visuals can take longer depending on the selected image types and revision needs.
Review still matters. Fast generation should not replace checking product accuracy, spelling, claims, and channel fit before publishing.
Can I edit the generated images after downloading?
Yes. You receive standard image files (JPG/PNG) that you can edit in any image editor, crop, or resize as needed.
Will my images look different from other ProdVue users?
Yes. Every image is generated from your product photo, product context, selected image type, and brand preferences. Setting up a Brand Profile helps keep the style consistent across SKUs while still making the images specific to your product.
Do I need professional source photos?
No, but source-photo quality matters. A clear phone photo with good lighting is usually enough. Avoid blurry photos, watermarks, collages, heavy filters, and shots where the product is partly hidden.
Read the Upload Guide before your first product.
Usage Rights
Do I own the images ProdVue generates?
Yes. You have commercial usage rights for images generated through your account. Use them in your online shop, marketplace listings, paid ads, social posts, email campaigns, packaging previews, and other commercial materials.
Can I use the images for advertising?
Yes. ProdVue images can be used in commercial contexts including Google Ads, Meta ads, Amazon ads, TikTok ads, Pinterest, email, and landing pages.
Are there any usage restrictions?
Generated images do not require ProdVue attribution. You remain responsible for using truthful product claims, licensed brand assets, and legally approved wording in your final materials.
File Formats and Technical
What file formats are supported for upload?
JPG, PNG, and WebP. JPG is the most common and works perfectly.
What format are the generated images?
Generated images are delivered in JPG and PNG formats at high resolution.
Is there a file size limit for uploads?
Yes. Maximum upload size is 20 MB per image. Most phone photos are well within this limit.
What aspect ratio should my source photo be?
Any standard aspect ratio works. Square (1:1), landscape (4:3, 16:9), and portrait (3:4) are all supported. The system adjusts automatically.
Supported Products
What types of products work best?
ProdVue is built for physical consumer products sold online. It works especially well for:
- Consumer electronics and accessories
- Home and kitchen goods
- Beauty and personal care products
- Food and beverage packaging
- Supplements and health products
- Clothing and fashion accessories
- Jewelry and watches
- Sports and fitness equipment
- Pet products
- Toys and games
- Office supplies and stationery
Are there products that do not work well?
Very large products, reflective products, transparent packaging, complex multi-item bundles, and products with tiny unreadable labels can be more challenging. They may still work, but they usually need better source photos, clearer product data, or a revision.
Can I use ProdVue for digital products?
ProdVue is designed for physical products. Digital products such as software, ebooks, and courses are not the primary use case.
Can I photograph multiple products together?
Upload one primary product per photo when possible. For kits or bundles, use the What's Included image type and provide accurate product data so shoppers understand exactly what ships.
Stores, Marketplaces, and Compliance Review
Can I use ProdVue images on multiple sales channels?
Yes. Generate once, then use approved images across your own online shop, Shopify, Etsy, Amazon, ads, social channels, and email. Different channels may need different crops, alt text, file names, or compliance review.
Do ProdVue images meet Amazon requirements?
ProdVue includes Amazon-specific image types and guidance, especially the Clean Main image type for white-background main images. However, Amazon rules vary by category and can change. Sellers should review final images against Amazon requirements before publishing.
Read the Amazon Seller Guide for the full checklist.
Will my images pass Shopify or Etsy review?
ProdVue images are designed for high-quality ecommerce use, but each shop, app, marketplace, ad network, and category can have its own policies. Review your final images for accuracy, claims, aspect ratio, and platform rules before publishing.
Use the Shopify Store Guide and Etsy Seller Guide for channel-specific image planning.
How does review before export help?
Review prevents wrong details from going live. Before export, check product accuracy, ingredient or material claims, spelling, benefit statements, usage steps, and whether the image answers the intended shopper question.
For proof-sensitive products, use Proof Assets, Claim Locks, and the Review Workflow.
