Claim Locks

Lock reviewed product claims before they appear in ecommerce image text, listing visuals, ads, or A+ modules.

Claim Locks Protect Reviewed Wording

Product image text is powerful because shoppers read visuals faster than descriptions. That also makes unsupported wording risky. Claim Locks help keep reviewed claims stable across ecommerce images, marketplace listings, ads, and Amazon A+ modules.

The practical rule is simple: if a claim matters, source it, review it, then lock the wording before it appears in final image text.

When to Use Claim Locks

Use Claim Locks for:

  • Ingredient, material, supplement, skincare, pet, food, or wellness claims.
  • Certificate, CoA, lab-tested, award, or compliance-sensitive statements.
  • Performance claims such as "lasts 12 hours", "supports X", or "holds 20 kg".
  • Comparison claims against generic alternatives.
  • Required warnings, usage instructions, and category-specific wording.
  • Brand-approved taglines or product benefit statements that should stay consistent.

Locking a Claim

  1. Identify the source: label, packaging, certificate/CoA, product data, or approved seller copy.
  2. Review the wording for the intended marketplace and category.
  3. Lock the claim for image planning.
  4. Use the locked claim in listing images, Shopify PDP visuals, Etsy listing images, ads, and A+ modules.
  5. Re-review if the claim or source changes.

Missing proof

If proof is missing, do not export that claim in final image text. Upload a source document, revise the wording, or remove the claim.

What Claim Locks Improve

  • Fewer accidental claim changes across image variations.
  • Faster review because approved wording is clearly separated from draft copy.
  • Better consistency across product galleries, A+ Content, ads, and landing pages.
  • Lower risk of publishing a strong-sounding claim that cannot be supported.
